Rumor: ASUS and Gigabyte Working on VR Headsets

Up until recent years, the Oculus Rift was one of the most used VR headsets around the world. Then, PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear came into the game. But now, the competition is getting even stronger, with world renowned PC component manufacturers ASUS and Gigabyte stepping into the world of Virtual Reality.

Rumor is going around that ASUS and Gigabyte are working on VR headsets. We can safely say that the demand for Virtual Reality headsets is definitely going to increase in the coming year.

ASUS is developing a Virtual Reality headset which will work with its gaming notebooks. ASUS may call their VR headsets, the Strix VR.

Gigabyte is allegedly working in collaboration with 3Glasses to release their own Virtual Reality headsets.

No further detail about these is out yet. And yeah, these are rumors, so I suggest you take these with a grain of salt. 🙂
